Personality: Takumi is a 'heavy' personality- that is to say, difficult to get around and even more difficult to suppress. Once he has set his course to an objective, no matter how high or low, he will not stop until that goal is met. He works well under relentlessly applied pressure and is not prone to nerves or lack of self-confidence in difficult times. Although Takumi is creative, he is always a tough, logical, left-brain thinker. He never goes out of his way to shock, impress, or attract others. Indeed, he is strongly in favor of the a more 'traditional' outlook on life and finds that the dramatic or cutting edge to be vulgar and overdone. He has a strange sense of humor, and often lets it get the better of him in relaxed company (although he does not let it show where work is concerned).

Past: Takumi is one of two children of a wealthy glass smith family. Both of his parents died when he was a young teenager and his lack of skill to keep his father's shop open prompted him to join the Ashbirds in order to protect the family business against thieves. He grew up with his sister Suzume but has decided the city is too dangerous for her and sent her to live with their Aunt Juo to learn how to be a proper young lady. She visits home occasionally and their meetings are always tense.

Present: He has spent the last three years studying hard at the university to learn more about his trade. His has progressed to a Journeyman level in both glass smithing and pottery. He is currently studying to test for his Mastery in glass smithing.

Future: His hopes for the future are thus: To achieve his Mastery, to obtain level 5 status in the Ashbirds, to keep his sister safe, and to get married. In no particular order.

Other Notes: USING TAKUMI IN MISSIONS: Any and everyone is welcome to use Takumi in missions, there is no need to ask! Please keep the following rules in mind if you want to use him so I don't have to keep repeating myself. Thanks!

- The mission cannot seriously injure or scar my character in anyway.
- The mission cannot KILL my character. At all.
- Please do not draw him with his eyes open. It is a rare thing for him to have his eyes open and only occurs when he is very serious or angry. If you simply MUST have him with his eyes open, send me a note and we can talk about it.
- Takumi is a PRO at Pai Sho. In the evenings he plays with experts from around the city and nearly always wins. Keep this in mind if you plan on challenging him for your Ashbirds mission. 8P
- Feel free to dress him in anything you'd like so long as it follows the Ashbirds clothing guidelines. You need not draw him in exactly the same clothing every time if you don't want to.
