Okay this took me about 10-12 hours total. I heavily referenced most of it. The only thing I did not paint by hand was that smugged tree in the corner. 'Cuz, heh, hell naw.
Speaking of my heavy reference and stock usage the images I used are as follows: [link] for body, [link] for the background, and I googled a cement park bench but I seem to have misplaced the link. This was all painted by hand, save for the previously mentioned tree of death. It was really hard but very fun to do. In the background are to street signs. One of them reads Park Pl. the other reads Fairview St. 8D Horray for Blood Debt references. Deen L. Man, I just don't have the motivation to spend that much time on anything. xDD I'm in awe of this ... It took a very long time. I almost crapped out more then once on the background and just put a generic blob in the background. I'm so glad I didn't though! XD

Critiques
The reference image you used for the background does not match the lighting for the figure, either. Though this sort of image is difficult to execute (combining two different reference points into a single image), more can be done to make the figure seem a little more "at home".
The white sleeve blends into the background quite a bit and there could have been something done to differentiate it from the lighter slivers of color in the background, but it does tie it together in a way that is quite successful.
The red cross as the focal point is very alluring and the balance of extreme light and dark in the figure is very eyecatching. Combined with the neutral shade of the background, it's a very appealing image.
The confusion lies in whether or not photorealism was desired.
